History of Delorean
One of the most legendary brands and series in the history of the automotive was founded in 1975 by entrepreneur John Delorian, which gave the company its name - "DeLorean". For the past 6 years there has been a protracted work on the first car of the brand. So in 1981 was presented model DeLorean DMC12, a design which was designed by a famous developer of Giorgetto Giugiaro. The body was made of stainless steel, and the doors were fastened on the principle of "gull wing", borrowed from Mercedes-Benz. Under the hood of the first instances of the model was located powertrain power of 150 horsepower, developed by the American company "General motors". The engine was coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox and a three-stage automatic transmission.
