History of Derways
In 2003 he founded a private Russian automobile company "Derways", one of the founders of which were made by the brothers of Trees, entrepreneurs from Karachay-Cherkessia. In the same year began the production model Derways Cowboy, based on the SUVs of the Romanian company "ARO". By 2004, production reached 5 thousand copies of this model. Lightweight mid-size SUV has been designed in the style of the legendary SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class and powertrain grade "ZMZ" the power of 128 horsepower.
However, in 2005, after the bankruptcy of the firm "ARO", "Gervais starts localization models of Chinese brands "Lipan", "Geely" and "Heim". But Lifan" becomes a technological partner of the Russian company. In 2006 it was resumed production model Cowboy, which was modified by using platform SUV Dadi Shuttle. In the same year began the production of the second model of the company, which was called Derways land crown, a localized version of the SUV Xingkai, copies of the car Toyota land cruiser 90.
In 2007 starts production of a full cycle of current models of the brand "Lifan", which brings the output up to 20 thousand copies vehicles per year. And in 2009, production volumes increased to 25 thousand copies. In the same year started the production of cars to the Chinese company Khaimah", which is a joint venture between Chinese investors and the Japanese company Mazda. The first model produced at the facilities of Russian automaker became Khaimah 3, built on the base model Mazda 3. And in 2011 started the production of cars Khaimah 2. In addition, in 2011 a contract was signed with one of the largest Russian automobile dealers "Autoworld", which provided a significant increase in sales of the company "Derways".
