Opel Will Present The New Insignia Wagon Against The Audi A6 Allroad
German brand Opel and its British Vauxhall division in order to strengthen its position in the European market, intends to compete with Audi. Against a confident speaker in its segment wagon terrain A6 Allroad Opel will offer all-wheel drive Insignia Country Tourer.
According to British magazine Autocar, Opel cook wagon terrain-based flagship Insignia. According to the publication, the novelty will receive the name of the Insignia Country Tourer, will compete with the Audi A6 Allroad and will appear later this year.
Base for new modifications will become the current Insignia Sports Tourer. But Country Tourer will get more brutal style, extended wheel arches, door sills and modified front and rear bumper.
As told the publication sources inside the company, the new product will also receive increased clearance compared with the usual Insignia wagon and will look more "boldly", due to the minor details of the exterior.
However, all-wheel drive will be offered optionally. It is expected that the novelty will receive both gasoline and diesel engines. What it is, is not specified. The main emphasis in Opel intend to make the home market of Germany, where the cars are in the style of the Allroad is very popular in different classes of machines.
Premiere of the Opel Insignia Country Tourer to be held at the Frankfurt motor show this autumn.
